There has been much anger and outrage after Governor Cuomo and the New York State Legislature passed the Reproductive Health Act recently passed this past January. This law expands abortion coverage in New York State up until the moment of birth and refuses medical care for babies who survived abortion in order to save their lives. Two events are being coordinated to respond to this evil law: This Saturday, February 23 – Day of Mourning – a day of prayer for aborted babies and to repent for the sin of abortion. People are encouraged to wear black in remembrance of all aborted babies. Businesses are encouraged to close. For more information please see www.dayofmourning.

Many individuals and families have wandered away from their faith in God, or from involvement in the Catholic Church. Sometimes a simple invitation can lead them to return. Some might be in life situations that prevent them from fully participating in the sacramental life of the Church, and feel they are no longer welcome or allowed to be part of the parish family. They must be told this is not true. At St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish All are Welcome!
If you know anyone who would like to be invited back to the Faith and to the Church, have them contact the Parish Office at 845-227-1710x2. Also see: www.catholicscomehome.org/
