For a Lenten devotion I encourage you to join other parishioners in praying with this book, the first ever Eucharistic Consecration guide. It is meant to be a spiritual pilgrimage. Like other pilgrimages, this one will have a specific intention, Eucharistic consecration. That is, to consecrate oneself to Jesus present in the Eucharist.
The book is structured to be read each day for 33 days. It includes a short introduction which includes a simple guide of how to use it over the course of the 33 days.
Books are in the narthex, along with a helpful "tip sheet," so please take one to enrich your love of Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist. There is no fee for the book. The plan is to begin reading on March 16th, the 2nd Sunday of Lent, in order to make the 33rd day consecration on Holy Thursday, April 17th, the day on which we celebrate Jesus giving us the gift of the Holy Eucharist.
Although you may be reading the book as an individual you will be joining other parishioners making the same pilgrimage. You may also read it with a small group and discuss each week. For those who have made this consecration you may want to read it again, or offer prayers for those parishioners who will consecrate themselves. If you have questions or comments during the course of your reading, you may reach out for assistance through the parish office or through the Flocknotes that will be sent during Lent.
